setting mailbox  folder permissions with a script
Hi. I would like to make a script to set permissions to folders on a mailbox. Currently, I need to use Outlook logging as the owner of the mailbox that wants to share folder with other users and then I share the folders. I wonder if this task can be made with a script. Do you know some cmdlet to set permissions for the folders of a mailbox? Thanks, Mig.En.

Hi, You don't mention what Exchange server you are using, but as you are asking about cmdlet it must be 2007 or 2010. You can set mailbox permissions with pfdavadmin in Exchange 2007 and ExFolders in Exchange 2010. Below are some links. pfdavadmin: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2010/04/09/454590.aspx ExFolders: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/12/04/453399.aspx /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.

Thanks, it's Exchange 2007 SP2. But I am not talking about public folders but mailbox folders such as Inbox, Calendar, Contacts and so on. Thanks, Mig.En.

Hi, The two tools can do this with mailboxes as well, they are not just for public folders. If you are interested in a more simple tool have a look at symprex folder permission manager www.symprex.com this software is not freeware just so you know. /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.
